Jason Momoa stunned metal fans when he jumped into the mosh pit during Pantera’s set at Black Sabbath’s farewell concert.

Carlos Javier Mendes, 38, was just eight rows back from the barricade at the historic gig on Saturday (July 5) at Villa Park in Birmingham.

The Aquaman star had just introduced Pantera on stage, then told fans to “make some space” before leaping over the barricade and diving into the pit as the band launched into "Cowboys from Hell."

Carlos, a lifelong music fan, captured the wild moment on video and called it the best concert experience of his life.

Carlos, from Barton Mills, Suffolk, said: "He came off stage, gave Phil Anselmo a fist bump and then just jumped into the pit.

"He was singing, headbanging and just having fun.

"It was amazing to see him being a proper metalhead, not just a celebrity.

"I’ve been to hundreds of concerts and this was the best one ever.

"Seeing Jason Momoa behind me, just enjoying the music like a regular fan, made it unforgettable."

Carlos said the atmosphere was electric as fans realised a Hollywood A-lister was moshing right alongside them.

Carlos said: "It was already intense but with Ozzy’s final show and Jason being there, it was next level.

"People were buzzing. Everyone could feel how special it was.

"I’ve seen Pantera before but this was something else."
