Shock images show car in Walsall after it was covered in petrol and set on fire - police latest
A police investigation is underway after a car was doused in petrol and set alight in the early hours at a Walsall house.
West Midlands Police said it was investigating the fire, which it said was started deliberately outside a house on Alexandra Road in Walsall during early morning on July 4.
The fire was tackled and eventually extinguished by firefighters from Walsall Fire Station, but left the car almost completely destroyed.
West Midlands Police has asked for anyone with any information about the fire to get in touch.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "We're investigating after a car was deliberately set alight on Alexandra Road in Walsall in the early hours of Friday, July 4.
"CCTV is being reviewed and local officers have been patrolling the area as our investigation continues.

"Anyone with information about what happened should call us on 101 quoting crime reference number 20/297011/25."
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: "Shortly before 12.20am on Friday, July 4, we responded to Alexandra Road in Walsall.
"A fire engine and a 4x4 brigade response vehicle from Walsall attended, arriving to find a car on fire.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire, which was believed to have been started deliberately. Police colleagues were in attendance.
"We left this incident shortly before 2.10am, after confirming no hotspots remained."
