Mini model of iconic 1950s Jaguar set to go under the hammer in Stourbridge
A child-sized model of the iconic 1950s Jaguar Tiger Cub D type is up for auction at Fieldings Auctioneers in Stourbridge later this month.
The replica of the sports racing car - which was produced by Jaguar between 1954 and 1957 - is thought to be one of only 100 ever produced, and will go under the hammer on Thursday, July 31.
Made by the Watsonian Squire car factory in Birmingham, the Jag' has a real engine, and can even reach speeds of 40mph.

The car was found in North Worcestershire, and senior valuer and auctioneer at Fieldings Auctioneers Mark Hannam is expecting it to command an impressive fee when it is put up for auction at the end of July.
"The estimate is [it will sell] for between £1,500 and £2,500," he said. "It's the first sale of its type that Fieldings will hold on July 31, so see you there."

A 1955 model of the original racing car was sold at an RM Sotheby's auction in Monterey in 2016 for $21,780,000 (£16,641,143), making it the most expensive Jaguar ever to sell at auction.
