The buggy carrying lifesaving equipment for a two-year-old child was inside a blue VW Sharan car which was stolen in Erdington in the early hours of Monday (July 7).

The vehicle has since been recovered but the custom-made pushchair - which has an emergency bag containing potentially life-saving equipment inside it - is still missing.

West Midlands Police has launched a public appeal in a bid to get the items back for the child as soon as possible.

The emergency bag is described as having a picture of Disney's Mickey Mouse on it. Anyone who may have seen the distinctive bag or the buggy dumped in the area and "not realised the significance" should phone the officers on 101 and quote incident number 20/300531/25.
