Wolverhampton man who stole from his own friend of eight years is jailed for crime spree
A Wolverhampton man has been jailed after carrying out a string of burglaries and car thefts - including one from a longstanding friend.
Dean Fearon, aged 30, carried out four similar offences in the Wolverhampton and Willenhall areas where he would break into property, often damaging locks or doors. After carrying out a search he would take car keys and steal vehicles from outside.
Wolverhampton Crown Court heard the offences happened between April 18 and May 24 last year.
In one instance Fearon burgled the property of a friend of eight years' standing whilst she and her friend were in London at a party - which the defendant had been due to attend but didn't.
The friends got back to the house and thought something looked strange but were too tired to investigate and went straight to bed.
