Between June 2 and 22 road crime team officers made 10 arrests, seized 23 vehicles and issued 123 traffic offence reports as part of Staffordshire Police's Operation Reclaim campaign.

The operation, which began last month, is aimed at targeting vehicles including off-road bikes and e-scooters that are involved in anti-social behaviour and associated criminality.

Between 2 June and 22 June, officers made ten arrests, seized 23 vehicles and issued 123 traffic offence reports.

The activities have been focused on identified areas known to experience issues involving off-road bikes and e-scooters across Staffordshire.

Chief Inspector Scott McGrath, of the force's roads crime team, said: “We have been working tirelessly to tackle the issue off-road bikes, stolen vehicles and escooters that have been disrupting our communities across Staffordshire.

“Though we are pleased with the progress we have made during the operation, we know there is always more to do, and we won’t let up on our resolve to deter people carrying out anti-social, inconsiderate and use of vehicles to commit criminality.”

Since the police's road crime team launched nearly nine months ago, officers have recovered a total of 1,556 vehicles, made 686 arrests, seized more than £11 million worth of criminal assets andrecovered 206 stolen vehicles.

“We can only act on information and intelligence we receive from our communities, so if you are concerned or have information please contact us,” Ch Insp McGrath added.
