Wolverhampton Mayor opens his doors to the public for 'Coffee, Cake and Community' charity event
Have you ever wondered what life inside the Mayor's Parlour is like? Well here is your chance to experience that behind-the-scenes look first hand.
‘A Slice of Wolverhampton – Coffee, Cake and Community for Charity’ will take place on Wednesday, July 30, hosted by Mayor of Wolverhampton Councillor Craig Collingswood, where the public can enjoy a unique experience at a charity event held in the Mayor’s Parlour later this month.
Attendees will be greeted with a warm welcome, a slice of cake and a glass of fizz, as well as the rare opportunity to visit the historic Mayor’s Parlour which houses the civic regalia and enjoy its balcony views looking out over Molineux Stadium and beyond.
Visitors will also be able to meet the Mayor and have a photograph taken, with all proceeds from the event going to support the four charities chosen by the Mayor this year.
Those charities are Acorns Children’s Hospice, Compton Care, SSAFA and The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Charity, and tickets are priced at £10.

Mayor Councillor Collingswood said: “This event is about bringing people together over something simple and joyful – coffee and cake – while making a real difference to the lives of those in our community.
"Not many people get to come and see the parlour, so we wanted to open it up and give everyone a chance to see the civic regalia and fantastic views from our balcony.
“Each of the charities I’m supporting does incredible work and I’m proud to help shine a light on their efforts.
"I hope people from across Wolverhampton will join us. It’s a chance to relax, connect and contribute to causes that matter.”
Tickets are available now via Eventbrite at the event website. Contact the Mayor’s Office for more information via mayoral@wolverhampton.gov.uk.
