Man dies following 'industrial incident' in Brierley Hill

A man has died following an 'industrial incident' in Brierley Hill.

Emergency services were called to Pedmore Road, Brierley Hill, at 9.53am on Tuesday (July 1) to reports of an industrial incident.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service dispatched two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a Critical Care Car and the Hazardous Area Response Team.

A Midlands Air Ambulance helicopter was also in attendance.

On arrival, the emergency services teams discovered one patient, a man, who was found to be in a critical condition. 

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to an industrial incident on Pedmore Road at 9.53am. Two ambulances, two paramedic officers, the trust’s Critical Care Car and our Hazardous Area Response Team attended the scene. 

"On arrival, we discovered one patient, a man, who was in a critical condition."

Ambulance teams began administering advanced life support but were unable to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene. 

The spokesperson added: "Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite their best efforts, they were unable to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene."

West Midlands Police has been approached for comment.
