Disruption for motorists on M42 after offal spillage causes delays
Offal spilled out on the M42 this morning (Tuesday, July 1) causing disruption for motorists
There is disruption on the M42 northbound and severe delays after a spillage of offal.
Two lanes are closed between Junction 5a for Birmingham Airport and Junction 6 for the A45 at Solihull and have been for most of the rush hour.
A clean up operation is in progress and is expected to last for at least another hour.
A spokesperson for National Highways: West Midlands said: "Delays are expected on the approach and motorists are asked to allow extra journey time this morning."
