Staffordshire based community centre to host 50th anniversary in style with 70s throwback

A community centre is preparing to host its golden anniversary with a super 70s party!

Pye Green Community Centre, in Bradbury Lane, Cannock, is breaking out their tie-dye shirts and disco boots as they host a 70s-style disco party for their 50th anniversary on Monday, July 14.

The event will be free to visit between 1pm to 3pm and will include retro 1970s snacks, plenty of disco music, and lots of chances to share your fondest memories from years past.

The facility has been at the heart of its community since 1975, with the group putting on events, shows and activities for visitors young and old to get involved in. 

Talking about the event,  Lindsey Smith, Chief Officer at Hednesford Town Council, said: "We would love to invite you to a 1970s party on Monday, July 14. 

"The party will celebrate the 50 years of Pye Green Community Centre, with plenty of retro food, music and memories. We can't wait to see you there."
