Man attacked with machete in public park in Tipton and left with serious injuries

Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked with a machete.

A man in his 20s was attacked in Victoria Park, Tipton, at around 8.30pm on Saturday (June 28).

The man was approached by two men, then hit in the face with the machete. He was taken to hospital with "serious" injuries, police said.

Police have been carrying out enquiries in the area, and have now urged anyone with information around the time of the incident to contact them directly. 

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We understand this is a worrying incident and we would urge anyone with concerns to speak to officers.
