'A record-breaking event': Wolverhampton Best Foot Forward's fantastic day raised vital cash for good causes
"It's been a fantastic day and a fabulous record-breaking event", says the organisers of Wolverhampton's Best Foot Forward charity event.

This year's fundraising day saw runners and walkers including families, children and dogs turn out in force at WV Active's Aldersley Stadium for the annual evemtg
Some wore fancy dress and some even brought pets in buggies to complete laps in aid of good causes and get some exercise at the same time.
Scorching temperatures brought runners out in their droves and the £16,000 in the charity pot was easily unlocked by the amount of people doing laps of the 400m track.

Mike Boyce, of the organising team at Rotary Club of the City of Wolverhampton, said: "It was a fantastic day and a fabulous record-breaking event in terms of the number of people who turned up and the number of laps completed overall which was a quite incredible 19, 421.
