Teenagers charged in connection with burglary offences in Dudley
Two teenagers have been charged in connection with a number of burglary offences around Dudley.
Officers from West Midlands Police spotted and subsequently pursued a car suspected of being linked to burglaries and attempted burglaries in Russells Hall on Wednesday, arresting two boys aged 16 and 17 after a short pursuit.
The force said the 16-year-old was charged with six counts of burglary, while the 17-year-old was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary in connection with 19 offences.
Both were set to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Friday, but no information is currently available on their appearance.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We’ve charged two teenagers in connection with burglary offences in Dudley.
"Officers spotted a car which was suspected of being linked to burglaries and attempted burglaries in Russells Hall during the early hours of Wednesday (25 June). Following a short pursuit we arrested two boys, aged 16 and 17.
"The 16-year-old has now been charged with six counts of burglary, while the 17-year-old has been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary in connection with 19 offences. Both were appearing before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today."
