Launching into the hits from the outset, the Celtic five-piece, who have produced eight studio albums, had plenty of material to choose from.

Not least from their latest release - the aptly titled The Forest is the Path - but of course it was the anthems Chasing Cars and Run which were best received, with the Cannock Chase crowd enjoying their surroundings and of course the sing-along songs including You're All I Have and Just Say Yes.

With support acts including singer-songwriter Freya Ridings and The Florentinas, who hail from Snow Patrol lead singer's Gary Lightbody's home town of Bangor, the weather stayed dry and the near-capacity crowd of music fans went home happy.

This was the second of four big nights of music, with perhaps the biggest tonight (Friday, June 27) in the form of Sting.
