Black Country takeaway given 'one' food hygiene rating after inspection

A Stourbridge takeaway has been handed a one-out-of-five food hygiene rating following an inspection.

Ratings are given out to restaurants, cafés, pubs and takeaways based on their standards of 'hygienic food handling', 'cleanliness and condition of facilities and building' and 'management of food safety'.

A score of five is considered 'very good', four 'good', three 'generally satisfactory', two 'some improvement necessary', one 'major improvement necessary' and zero 'urgent improvement required'.

Golden Boat, a Chinese takeaway on Bridgnorth Road in Wollaston, Stourbridge was given a food hygiene score of 'one' after an inspection on May 21.
