Man, 23, stabbed on Sedgley street on Father's Day - police launch appeal

An appeal has been launched after a man was taken to hospital after being stabbed.

West Midlands Police have released a CCTV image of a man it said officers wanted to speak to following the incident on Sunday.

It happened at around 3pm on Mossdale Way in Sedgley and saw a 23-year-old man approached by another man and then stabbed.

The force said the man was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition and asked for anyone with any information about the incident to get in touch.

A spokesman for West Midland Police said: "We’re appealing for information after a man was stabbed in Mossdale Way in Sedgley on Father’s Day.

"At around 3pm, the 23-year-old was approached by another man and was stabbed.

"He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

"We’re releasing a photo of a man we want to speak to in connection with the attack.
