It will be launched at a reading night held at Drip Coffee, Bridgnorth Road, Wollaston on Saturday night from 7pm and the evening will feature additional readings from writers from the area, with a raffle held raising funds for the British Legion.

Katie Victoria is a regular at open mic and spoken word events at Katie Fitzgeralds in Stourbridge where she won the People's Platform event and Roberto's in Halesowen. She is also in the cast of a murder mystery play - Gun Shots at Gin Joint - being held next month at The Milestone venue in WIllenhall.

On the book she said: "It is a collection of poetry which showcases my work, like a bio of my life - it talks about everything from my thoughts, experiences, how I see the world my political views and childhood experiences.

"It has taken over a year in the making, at first I didn't have a voice in terms of some of the experiences I have had. But now I have found that voice and I am busy promoting the book, acting professionally and directing a production at Action Theatre Group which I am also heavily involved with.

"The evening on Saturday will feature not only a variety of talented and prominent writers but also a lot of different styles, Drip Coffee is a great venue and I'd like to thank in advance the proprietors for welcoming us there."

The book launch takes place at Drip Coffee at The Hub, Wollaston on Saturday from 7-10pm with free entry.
