Jailed: Man who fired shots at West Midlands home and was arrested at cannabis farm
A man who fired gunshots at a West Midlands home and was later arrested at a cannabis farm has been jailed for more than 12 years.
In July of last year, Donaldo Mateau drove a van towards Brookvale Road in Olton, Solihull, before climbing out and pointing a gun at a house.
He fired two shots at the property from a sawn-off shotgun.
Police investigating the shooting examined CCTV footage which showed Mateau using the van earlier that evening, driving to a nearby pub.
He was also spotted changing and replacing the number plates on the vehicle, West Midlands Police said.

Police arrested Mateau during a firearms warrant at a property which had been turned into a cannabis farm.
Two live firearms were found hidden in a sofa at the address in Oscott School Lane near Great Barr as well as ammunition.
When interviewed by police, Mateau denied being responsible for the shooting or knowing anything about it.
He reportedly said he had been inside the cannabis farm being forced to work tending the plants, knowing nothing of the guns.
Mateau, of no fixed address, was jailed for 12 and a half years at Birmingham Crown Court on June 19.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We are committed to taking firearms and those who carry them off the streets of the West Midlands.
"As part of Operation Target, our teams carry out daily operations and patrols aimed at tackling serious and organised crime."
