Man due to appear in court after police pursuit in Halesowen

A man is due to appear in court accused of firearms and traffic offences after a police pursuit in Halesowen.

West Midlands Police said officers spotted a motorcycle "of interest" in the town on Tuesday (June 17) afternoon, which led to a pursuit.

The motorcyclist then came off the vehicle on Garratts Lane.

A firearm, which was later confirmed to be an imitation, was recovered at the scene, the force added.

A man is due to appear in court accused of firearms and traffic offences

Daniel Hall was arrested and later charged with possession of an imitation firearm in a public place, driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving without insurance, driving without a licence and possession of a controlled drug.

The 21-year-old, of Halesowen, is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.
