Fire alarm fault shuts Wolverhampton Crown Court
Some cases have been adjourned and others transferred after a fire alarm fault at Wolverhampton Combined Court Centre.
Several crown court cases due to be heard at the Pipers Row site on Tuesday(17) were either put off to new dates or moved to the Wolverhampton and Telford magistrates courts instead.
Sitting at the annexe court in Telford, Judge Jonathan Gosling said: "Wolverhampton Crown Court had to close down.
"There is a problem with the fire alarm system. We're not sure when it will reopen. That will depend on whether they get a part and when it gets fitted."
