12 pulse-pounding pictures as extreme sporting event in Wolverhampton is kickstarted into action
Wolverhampton's Market Square has been transformed into an action-packed arena as an extreme sports event gets under way.
Professional riders and skateboarders were already showcasing their skills as the Extreme Wheels Weekender was launched into action on Saturday (June 14) morning.
Across the two-day event, BMX pros Gary Spencer and Callum Rafferty, along with scooter rider Tom Nieb, are demonstrating various stunts.
Other attractions include funfair rides, inflatable games and food stalls.
And for thrill-seekers over the age of nine who fancy having a go themselves, sessions are being held on mobile ramps and a track, including for skateboarding, BMX, drift trikes and KMX karts.
The event is open from 10am to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday and is being hosted by Wolverhampton radio presenter, Dicky Dodd.
