Man arrested on suspicion of burglary after house broken into in Walsall
A man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after police responded rapidly to reports of a break-in at a Walsall house.
Officers from West Midlands Police had responded to reports of the break-in on Holden Crescent in Coalpool in the early hours of the morning.
They detained a 48-year-old man on suspicion of burglary, who the force said was currently in custody of questioning.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We've arrested a man after rapidly responding to reports of a burglary in Walsall this morning.
"We were alerted to a break-in on Holden Crescent in Coalpool, at around 12.40am.
"Officers were swiftly on the scene and detained a 48-year-old man on suspicion of burglary.
"He is currently in custody for questioning."
