Eight people charged with drug offences following series of warrants in Cannock
Eight people have been charged with drug offences following a series of warrants on houses and arrests in Cannock.
Seven men and one woman have been charged following the arrests, which came after officers from the Staffordshire Police major and organised crime team worked together with the local policing team to search 12 addresses in the Cannock area on Wednesday, with drugs, cash and various weapons being found.
Ryan Dale, 30, of West Chadsmoor and Liam Powell, 31, of Hednesford, were both charged with conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug in cocaine, while Scott Preece, 32, of Rugeley, has been charged with the same offence, as well as possessing a controlled drug of class B in cannabis.
Cameron Preece, 22, of Pye Green, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine, being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class B in cannabis, supplying a controlled drug of class A in cocaine, possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A in cocaine, possessing criminal property and possessing a weapon for the discharge of a electrical incapacitation device.
Jack Horden, 29, of Pye Green, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of a class A drug, being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class B in cannabis, and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B in cannabis.
Finally, Thomas White, 30, of Blackfords in Cannock, Simon James, 49, and Stacey Shenton, 36, both of West Chadsmoor, have all been charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
Shenton was also charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a private place.
All of those charged are due to appear at Newcastle-under-Lyme Magistrates Court today.
