Staffordshire Police work to help protect vulnerable person found on M6
A collaborative effort by police and ambulance teams helped to locate and protect a vulnerable person seen travelling on the M6.
Officers from Staffordshire Police Road Crime Team worked to locate a person who had been reported as missing from the Avon & Somerset Police area and who was seen travelling on the M6 in what was reported to be a vulnerable state of mind.
The officers, with help from West Midlands Ambulance Service staff, were able to stop the person and provide help for them.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "We have locate a missing person travelling on the M6 from the Avon & Somerset Police area, who was in a vulnerable state of mind.
"With help from West Midlands Ambulance and the NHS, we managed to get this person the help they need and bring some peace of mind to their family."
West Midlands Ambulance Service have been asked for a comment.
