Shop theft suspect arrested followed dramatic foot chase through centre of Wednesbury
A shop theft suspect was stopped on his tracks by neighbourhood police officers after attempting to escape in a foot chase through Wednesbury town centre.
Officers from Wednesbury Neighbourhood Policing team responded to calls around a shop theft in the town centre on Wednesday afternoon (June 11) and, upon arrival, chased after, caught and arrested the suspect.
A spokesman for Wednesbury Town Police said: "Wednesbury NHT responded to a call on the Town Link Radio regarding a shop theft which had just taken place and arrested the below person after a foot chase.
"Another positive joint result for ourselves and the Town Centre Stores."
