Man taken to hospital after Codsall accident

A man was taken to hospital and two other people treated at the scene after a two car accident in Codsall.

The accident happened at the junction of the A41 Holyhead Road and Strawmoor Lane in Codsall at 5.30pm yesterday (June 10).

It closed the A41 for around an hour and caused queueing traffic.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance said: "We were called to reports of a two-car RTC at the junction of Holyhead Road and Strawmoor Lane in Codsall at 5.29pm yesterday. 

"One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene. 

"An off-duty paramedic also stopped to offer assistance at the scene. On arrival we discovered that one of the cars had come to rest on its roof and three patients in total.

"One male was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to New Cross Hospital as a precaution. The remaining two patients were assessed and discharged at the scene."
