Appeal for witnesses after collision and assault between cyclist and motorist in Whitmore Reans
An appeal for witnesses has been launched after a collision between a car and a cyclist which then saw the cyclist assault the driver.
West Midlands Police have launched the appeal following the collision on Clifford Street in Whitmore Reans in Wolverhampton on Monday afternoon (June 9).
The force said a grey VW Golf had collided with the cyclist, who was riding a black mountain bike, near Allen Road, with the cyclist subsequently believed to have approached the car and assaulted the driver.
Following the incident, West Midlands Police said the cyclist had then left on food towards Albert Road, while the Golf driver left in a second vehicle, and has asked for anyone with any information to get in touch as soon as possible.
