Man and woman on motorbike rushed to hospital after crash with car near Perton - police appeal for witnesses

Staffordshire Police is appealing for information following a serious collision involving a car and a motorbike.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of Kingswood, near Perton, Staffordshire, just before 5.50pm on Sunday (June 8), at the junction of Holyhead Road and County Lane.

Officers attended the scene with colleagues from the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Midlands Air Ambulance.

On arrival, officers discovered a black Skoda Yeti that had been involved in a collision with a Kawasaki motorcycle.

The rider of the bike, a man, and the passenger on the bike, a woman, were both taken to hospital. Police said the woman's injuries are believed to be potentially life-changing.

The driver of the Skoda was not injured and stayed at the scene after the crash.

Staffordshire Police has now asked anyone with information to contact officers via 101, or alternatively via the Live Chat on the force website, quoting reference number 603 of June 8.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "The incident happened just before 5.50pm on Sunday (June 8) at the junction of Holyhead Road and County Lane. 

"We went to the scene with colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Midlands Air Ambulance.
