The Jubilee Inn, Pye Green Road, will shut on Sunday (June 8), with the name likely to go with it.

A Facebook post from the current management of the pub read: "From Sunday June 8 the Jubilee Pub will be closing and we are leaving.

"After Sunday it will no longer be the loving family friendly pub we all love and now once the doors shut that will be the last pint pulled in the Jubilee.

"We have been told that it will be turned into a bar and grill. So thank you to the lovely people who have supported us and we have made some good friends, whom we will be friends with after we leave."

All former staff and customers are being urged to come and have a final drink at the pub this weekend, with karaoke on Saturday until 11pm. On Sunday it will be open until 10.30pm.

A spokesman for Trust Inns confirmed the pub would be shutting after Sunday for a refurbishment and would be opening later this year as a bar and grill under new management.
