Prolific shoplifter Lucy Winkett's crime spree culminated in her stamping on a man's head as she robbed him before punching a female bystander in the face.

The vicious assaults came after months of repeatedly stealing from the same shops in Brierley Hill, Dudley and Merry Hill in 2023 and 2024.

Winkett stole coffee, cheese, children's clothes, confectionary, beer, from small shops whose owners were often powerless to sop her as she often was accompanied by a burley man.

She targeted One Stop shops in Brierley Hill and Dudley, Morrisons, as well as regular stealing forays into Merry Hill Shopping Centre where she would plunder The Range and HM.

However, the 19-year-old crack cocaine addict's crime spree finally came to a violent end on February 2, 2024.  At 10.45 she spotted a 40-year-old man walking home on Brierley Hill High Street.
