Across the Black Country, there are pubs which have been closed for years due to lack of use, damage caused by fires or flooding, or which have been temporarily closed due to refurbishment works.

Some have since reopened looking new and shiny, while offering the same pub experience as before, while others have plans being put in place to help restore them to past glories and reopen at a later date.

We've taken a look and can list nine of the pubs which have reopened or are set to reopen after spells being closed.

This list is in no particular order. If there are any pubs that we have missed that you think should be included on this list, please let us know in the comments below.

The investment includes a warmer interior including new flooring, lighting and booth seating and a refurbished garden area with new seating and covered pergola area.

The investment will also feature major improvements to the toilets, providing customers with a more modern look and feel.

The New Wellington on Brettell Lane was formerly known for its carvery, buffet breakfasts and real ale but has been shut for a number of years after, in 2021, it suffered a fire in the kitchen which caused it to temporarily close.

It is now under new management who have posted on their Facebook page that the pub will re-open on July 11.

Before closure, The New Wellington was a popular real-ale pub.
