Gun 'brandished' as bike stolen from man and woman in Tipton

A gun was "brandished" as a bike was stolen from two people in Tipton.

It happened off Owen Street at around 10.15pm on May 25.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said a gun was brandished as the bike was taken from a man and woman.

An 18-year-old man was detained by police on Sunday (June 1).

Callum McLaughlin, of West Bromwich, has since been charged with robbery, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and threats to kill.

He appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Tuesday (June) and was remanded to appear before the city's crown court on July 1.
