Gunshots fired in disorder on Birmingham street injuring woman as police recover sawn-off shotgun
Gunshots were fired during a disorder on a Birmingham street.
A woman was left with a shotgun wound following the incident on Kenrick Croft, Castle Vale, at around 2am on Sunday (June 1).
Police investigating the disorder have recovered a sawn-off shotgun and ammunition.
In a statement on Tuesday morning, West Midlands Police said: "It's understood a group were involved in a melee but no-one was present when officers arrived. We have since established that a woman suffered a shotgun injury to her arm.
"As well as the firearm, we recovered a quantity of shotgun ammunition, a number of bullets and a knuckle duster from an address in Birmingham as part of the investigation following the disorder."

Elliot Foley, aged 40, and Abid Khan, 43, have been charged with violent disorder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Khan has been further charged with possession of prohibited weapon, possession of ammunition without a certificate and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
Foley has been further charged with assault by beating of a police officer.
The pair were remanded in police custody to appear before magistrates on Tuesday (June 3).
A 41-year-old woman who was arrested and treated for shotgun injuries at hospital before being discharged has been released on bail, West Midlands Police has confirmed.
Detectives are said to be examining CCTV and mobile phone footage as well as speaking to witnesses as the investigation continues.
