Carl Jackson, aged 40 and of no fixed abode in Lichfield, did not think twice about pulling out his knife to anyone who challenged him during his crime spree in Willenhall.

That included shop managers, shoppers, have-a-go-heroes and two policemen during an escalation of his offending last April.

When spotted piling baby powder into his bag in Nisa in Willenhall on April 25, the manager and a shopper challenged him.

However, as they tried to stop him leaving the store he pulled his bladed weapon out of his bag and threatened them. Just three days later he stole from Tesco in Willenhall and when police searched the local area found him quickly.

Then over the next 20 minutes, he threatened two officers with a knife. Bodycam footage was shown at Wolverhampton Crown Court, where he was sentenced on Wednesday (May 21).
