Woman charged after pensioner is robbed outside Morrisons in Birmingham

A woman will stand trial this month after a pensioner was pushed to the ground and robbed.

Stefania Kapati was arrested and charged by officers from West Midlands Police after the incident near Morrisons in Rubery on April 29.

Shortly before 4pm, a 95-year-old woman was pushed to the ground and her purse was stolen, leaving her with injuries requiring hospital treatment.

Kapati, 29, was charged with robbery earlier this month and will appear at Birmingham Crown Court on May 30 for trial.

She has been bailed with strict conditions until this date.
