Police noticed a 'suspicious' vehicle in Aldridge Road at around 1pm on Wednesday (May 7) which they believed had been involved in a crime the week before.
After conducting searches, officers found a car key that they believed belonged to a stolen vehicle.
The key was taken to a dealership to be assessed and was confirmed to be for a car that had been stolen last week.
After carrying out further searches, West Midlands Police officers found wraps of Class A drugs on the driver along with balaclavas and a bladed tool.
A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, and possession of an offensive weapon.
He remains in custody for questioning.
