Defendant 'went to Bailey Atkinson trial' weeks before alleged revenge shooting of Connor Brookes, court hears
A defendant in the Connor Brookes murder trial has told jurors he went to the court case of Bailey Atkinson's killers, weeks before the alleged revenge shooting.
Samuel Danks-Petty, 20, is standing trial alongside Byron Sellick, 20, Jake Sanbrook, aged 23, and Julian Falconer, 20 at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
Danks-Petty is charged with intent to pervert the course of justice whereas the other three are charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm.
Samuel Danks-Petty, 20, of Buildwas Close, Mossley, has chosen to give evidence and is currently being cross-examined.

When asked if he was a friend of Bailey Atkinson, Danks-Petty said: "I knew him, he was always nice to me but I would not say we were best friends. I learnt more about him after his death if I'm honest.
