Body of dog found taped and wrapped in bin bags in Birmingham
The RSPCA has appealed for information after the body of a German Shepherd was found wrapped up in bin bags and dumped amongst a pile of rubbish in Birmingham.
The upsetting discovery was made in Armoury Road in Small Heath in Birmingham on March 11 after a member of the public spotted the male dog wrapped and taped up, lying behind a dumped sofa.
RSPCA inspectors believe the dog had not been there for very long, and are appealing for any witnesses or people with information to come forward.
Boris Lasserre, who is investigating for the animal welfare charity, said: “It must have been very upsetting to find this dog and we are grateful to the member of the public for sounding the alarm.

“The poor dog was found behind a dumped sofa all the way down Armoury Road, near a slip road close to the entrance to the Ackers Trust.
“We don’t believe the dog had been at the location for very long and so we are appealing for information to see if anyone saw someone in the area or who has any information about where the dog has come from, and how his body came to be discarded in this way.”
Anyone with information about the incident can contact the RSPCA’s appeals line number on 0300 123 8018 and refer to incident number 01467286.
