Firefighters rescue horse from South Staffordshire canal

Firefighters in South Staffordshire rescued a horse trapped in a canal in Coven Heath

Five appliances alongside animal rescue and water teams went to the scene at a canal off Ball Lane, Coven Heath, at 11.15am on Friday (March 28).

They found a horse stuck in the canal. Using animal rescue equipment, the horse was brought to safety and assessed at the scene by a vet.

Crews left the scene at around 2.30pm.
