'It's horrible to think about' - Residents speak out following attempted murder arrest near Smethwick train station
Residents have shown their concern after a woman in her 50s was left with serious injuries after being attacked in Smethwick.
West Midlands Police rushed to the scene of a wasteland near Smethwick Halton Bridge Railway Station shortly after 3.30am on Tuesday (March 25) to report that a woman had been attacked at a residential address nearby.
Shortly after attending the incident, an 18-year-old man, who is known to the victim, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Now, residents and public transport users have expressed their concerns at the shocking incident.
