Man arrested after woman 'grabbed' and robbed at Smethwick cashpoint
A man has been arrested after a woman was "grabbed" and robbed of her money at a cashpoint in Smethwick.
The woman, aged in her 60s, was retrieving cash from an ATM on Cape Hill at around 1.30pm on February 8.
She was grabbed by a person who then made off with a quantity of cash, a West Midlands Police spokesperson said.
Following police enquiries including reviewing CCTV footage, a 39-year-old man from Oldbury was arrested on suspicion of robbery.
He was in police custody for questioning on Wednesday (March 19) afternoon.
