Police uncover positive drug test following traffic collision at Stafford Services

A driver was arrested and charged after being found to have failed a drug test for cocaine.

Officers from Staffordshire Police Road Crime Team were called to reports of a single vehicle crash at Stafford Services north on the M6 on Monday afternoon.

They discovered a silver Toyota Hilux and tested the driver at the scene with drink and drug swabs.

This test uncovered that the driver had tested positive for cocaine, while the car was also taken off the road due to the collision.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police Road Crime Team said: "Today, we attended a single vehicle RTC at Stafford Services north on the M6.

"The driver provided a positive roadside drug wipe for cocaine. 

"The vehicle has also been prohibited due to the damage gained from the RTC."
