'Say you love each other everyday': 'Diamond' couple who met in Wolverhampton celebrate 60 years of marriage
Saying you love each other everyday is the secret to a long and happy marriage according to a couple who met in Wolverhampton and are celebrating 60 years of wedded bliss.
Roy and Patricia Campbell celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary on January 21 with a card from King Charles III and a takeaway curry.
The pair met 64 years ago when Roy was working at a butchers in Wolverhampton, just a few doors down from where his wife worked in a shop.
One night, Roy asked Patricia if she would like to go to the cinema - and says they "hit it off" from there.
Roy, aged 84, said: "We went to the pictures holding hands. We grew on each other you see, from there we just hit it off and we have been together ever since."
