Bull terriers found abandoned in bush in Wolverhampton are rescued by police, fire crew and public

Two abandoned dogs found left in a bush in Wolverhampton have been rescued and taken to a dogs home.

West Midlands Police officers from the St Peter's, Park and Graisley LPU were made aware of the two Staffordshire bull terrriers found left in a bush on Penn Road today (January 20).

The officers, fire crews and members of the public helped in rescuing the dogs, who were given a police escort to Birmingham Dogs Home.

A post on social media by police said: "Today officers were made aware of two abandoned dogs left in a bush on Penn Road. After a rescue mission with @WMFSWolvesfire and a few helpful members of the public, both dogs had a police escort to @BhamDogsHome who have now taken care of them both."
