Northern Lights return to West Midlands tonight! See our stunning selection of readers' pictures

People in the West Midlands have been able to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights from their gardens once again.

The natural light display in the sky could be seen in many places in Shropshire including Telford, Bridgnorth and Church Stretton.

Craig Jackson, station manager for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service, shared a picture he took in Shifnal.

The Northern Lights, also known as Aurora Borealis, is a natural light display in the earth’s sky, predominantly seen in high-latitude regions such as Iceland, Norway and the north of Scotland. 

Auroras display patterns of lights that appear as curtains, rays, spirals, or flickers covering the sky.
