A 64-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after three people were stabbed.
Police were called to the incident on Doncaster Way in Hodge Hill, Birmingham, just before 9am on New Years Eve.
Two women, aged 18 and 20, and a 25-year-old man, were found to have been attacked.
The 20-year-old woman remains in hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries, a West Midlands Police spokesperson said.
The other two victims have since been released from hospital.
The suspect, who police believe to have been known to the victims, remains in custody, the police spokesperson added.
Det Insp Tom Lyons, from the force's Major Crime Unit, said in a statement on New Years Day: “We have officers at the scene today speaking to witnesses and recovering CCTV and would appeal for anyone with information to come forward.”
Anyone who could help with the investigation should contact West Midlands Police via Live Chat on its website or by calling 101 and quoting log 4127 of December 31.
