Body found on train tracks in Staffordshire
Services are slowly getting back to normal at Rugeley Trent Valley station after a body was found on the tracks.
Commuters faced delays and cancellations into the early afternoon today when police were called to the station at around 10.15am after reports of a casualty on the tracks.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Rugeley Trent Valley railway station at around 10.15am today (12 November) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
West Midlands Railway tweeted all lines are now open but delays and cancellations are still possible.
