Motorists are experiencing severe delays on the M6 West Bromwich after a road traffic collision involving a Vauxhall Astra.
Drivers have reported standstill traffic leading up to Junction 8 on the M6 northbound.
Two fire crews remain on site dealing with the incident with police holding traffic for a short while.
The M5 is reported to be blocked with drivers being unable to join the M6.
