The former Walsall boss was due to host 'An Evening With Ray Graydon' on Friday, alongside players from the Saddlers' 2000/01 Second Division (now League One) play-off winners.

However, the 68-year-old 'will no longer be able to commit to the event' on medical grounds.

A statement on the Saddlers' website read: "Ray would like to place on record his sincere apologies to supporters and express his disappointment at having to withdraw from the event at such late notice.

"Supporters who purchased a ticket to the event can receive a full refund from the Walsall ticket office."
