Man arrested after serious sexual assault outside Walsall pub
A man has been arrested in connection with a serious sexual assault outside a Walsall pub.
The 27-year-old from Walsall handed himself in at a police station.
The assault took place behind Flan O'Brien's in the town centre on Sunday, February 21.
A 21-year-old woman had been on a night out with friends when she got separated from them and befriended an unknown group consisting of three women and a man.
The woman left the pub to have a cigarette with the man in the group, and once outside, he dragged her away to the wasteland and attacked her, police say.
Luckily she managed to escape and raised the alarm with door staff who immediately called the police.
